About the event
EKLEKTIKA & FRIENDS present SONGS FOR PEACE arising from the distressing situation in Ukraine, but also from so much that is currently happening in the world that is crying out for a peaceful and creative response. The program will feature original compositions and arrangement by Judy Stubbs including settings of Ukrainian, Russian, Polish and Palestinian poets, songs from Spain and the Auvergne region of France, as well as re-imagining of iconic music by the Beatles, Prince, Radiohead, Rachmaninov, Purcell and of Avo Part’s Da Pacem (written originally to commemorate the victims of the Madrid bombing). Eklektika will be joined in this beautiful concert series by Rita Woolhouse on Cello, Ann Lehmann-Kuit on Guitar and Matt Bourne on Percussion. All proceeds to UNHCR.
Volunteers have kindly offered a soup dinner from 6pm (by donation). Please join us!
